Submission Guidelines

Submissions of abstracts can be made in the following formats. All submissions are, independent of format, subjected to a peer-review process to secure high quality.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the Final program/Abstract book, on condition that the presenting authors have registered and paid the registration fee no later than 11 March 2019.

Notification with session information (date, time) of the symposia and/or abstract will be sent no later than 30 April 2019.

SYMPOSIA AND SYMPOSIA ABSTRACTS

Symposia submissions

A symposium typically comprises 3-5 individual presentations joined by a common theme. A symposium is first submitted by the convener/chair in the format of an overall abstract who receives a unique identification number. Next, each participant in the symposium must submit individual abstracts and also state the id of the symposia it belongs to no later than 15 October 2018.

  • Symposia and abstracts can only be submitted electronically via the submission system on the congress home page, no later than 15 October 2018.
  • A symposium is first submitted by the convener/chair in the format of an overall abstract who receives a unique identification number
  • Acknowledgement of receipt of the submission will be sent to the submitting author’s e-mail. In the confirmation you will find a unique ID number of the suggested symposia. If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail within 24 hours, please contact iagger@meetx.se
  • Next, each participant in the symposium must submit individual abstracts and also state the unique ID of the symposia it belongs to no later than 15 October 2018.
  • The submitting authors will receive feedback concerning the suggested symposia and is responsible for informing co-authors.
  • The corresponding author will have access to the abstract after submission via an on-line Personal Page.
  • Notification on acceptance of the Symposia and included abstracts will be sent to the stated e-mail addresses on 15 November 2018.

Participants are asked to indicate a preferred type of presentation. However, the submitted abstract might be accepted into another presentation format (oral, oral-poster, and poster).

Submission instructions

  • Abstracts can only be submitted electronically via the submission system on the congress home page, no later than 3 December 2018.
  • Acknowledgement of receipt of the submission will be sent to the corresponding author’s e-mail. If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail within 24 hours, please contact iagger@meetx.se

  • The corresponding author will have access to the abstract after submission via an on-line Personal Page.
  • Notification on acceptance of the abstracts will be sent to the stated e-mail address in 22 January 2019.

General abstract instructions

  • Please follow the instructions of the abstract submission form carefully.
  • Abstracts must be written in English.
  • Maximum 2100 Characters (including spaces and excluding title and contact information on authors).
  • The abstract should give the objectives of the study, methods and theories used, results obtained, and the conclusions reached. If subheadings are used in your abstract text, please format the headings in bold followed by colon (e.g. Objectives:)
  • Please note that the word “elderly” should be avoided (as stated in APA guidelines concerning Bias-free language).
  • It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract; any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author, if accepted.

Upon submission, you are requested to:

First, indicate the main topic that best describes the content of the abstract.

When your abstract is submitted you can follow the progress on-line by entering your Personal Page for abstract.

You will be able to access your Personal Page for abstracts by entering your unique user ID and password indicated in the attached file received in the confirmatory email after submission.

Your Personal Page for abstracts makes it possible for you to read and print your abstract as well as make changes until submission deadline (15 October 2018 Symposia deadline and 3 December 2018 for oral, oral-poster and poster abstracts)
